How to be more comfortable with saying "I love you"?

I am perfectly fine with saying it to my mom and dad (I'm fact, I might say it excessively), but anyone else it just feels uncomfortable. I mean family friends might say it and I would be like "you too!" but I feel like I'm being rude. And also, how can I be more comfortable with saying it to my friends ( I mean just saying like " luv ya!"? Or texting "ily!"
