How much alcohol can I bring back?

I live in Ohio. In 4 weeks, I'll be flying from Detroit, MI to Miami, FL, and then aboard a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas and Key West. Flight is with American Airlines, cruise is with Royal Caribbean. I'm interested in buying alcohol from the Bahamas, but I do not know my limits... it seems pretty confusing. I know that whatever I bring onto the ship, Royal Caribbean keeps until the last night, but what about the airlines? And what would the taxes be like? Thank you!
